December Announcements
The Heaven Bound Choir will celebrate their Anniversary by sitting in on Sunday, December 4, 2016, during the 9:45 AM worship service.  Sister Nakia Simpson, President.


The Willing Workers Chorus will celebrate their Anniversary by sitting in on Sunday, December 11, 2016, during the 9:45 AM worship service.  Sister Ermyn Roberts, President, Deaconess Eunice Blount, Vice President.


The Sunday School Christmas Program will take place on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at 8:45 AM in the Main Sanctuary.  All adult participants in the Christmas Program are asked to meet at 7:30 AM on Sunday December 18, in the Fellowship Hall.  Sister Nettie James White, Superintendant, Rev. Joe Phillips, Assistant Superintendent.

 

 


 

 

 


  • The Church and Pastor's Anniversary Committee will meet monthly on the second Monday at 7:00 pm and the fourth Saturday at 9:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.  Please come out and join the committee as we make plans for the Church's 62nd Anniversary and the Pastor's 28th Anniversary,  Thank you for your support, Deacon Leo Randall, Chairperson and Sis. Hazel Wood, Co-Chairperson.
 
  • The Women's Day Committee will meet monthly on the 4th Saturday at 11:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.  Thank you for your support.  Sister Redieth Coleman, Chairperson, Sister Janice Johnson, Co-Chairperson.
 
  • The Men's Day Committee will meet monthly on the 4th Saturday at 11:00 am.  Deacon Jerome Allen, Chairperson, Bro. Thomas Monroe, Co-Chairperson.
 
  • The Carolina Club will give out a food basket each month to any needy person or family.  For further information, please contact Sis. Sue Hamlin for the 16th of each month.

  • The Youth Ministry/Helping Hand Educational Ministry will meet on the third (3rd) Saturday of each month from 10:00am until 2:00pm. Parents, this help is opened to all youth that are in need of this program and are encouraged to attend. The Liturgical Dance and Step Ministry training and rehearsal are also included. For further information, you may contact any Youth Advisor or Instructor. Rev. Vivian Curtis, Youth Director.


  • The Senior Choir is collecting items to donate to the DC General Homeless Shelter for Mothers, Infants, and Toddlers on the 4th Sunday of each month.  A list of suggested items is located on the information table near the the Pastor's study and downstairs in the fellowship hall.  For more information you may contact any member of the Senior Choir.  Sis. Rose McMillon, President.


  


  • RECYCLING PROGRAMOur Recycling Program has begun. The following materials must be stored indepently from other non-recoverable waste at the point of pickup:  Paper, paperboard, corrugated cardboard, metal, glass and plastic containers. It is important to empty bottles and cans of heavy contamination. this is required by the District of Columbia.  For further information, contact Trustee Robin Smith or any member of the Trustee Board.
